Paleo Pizza Base

We all feel like pizza sometimes. This healthy pizza base means that you can enjoy it and not feel guilty. It’s loaded with beneficial fibre and contains no gluten, sugar or yeast which means it is great for your gut health and digestive function

Ingredients: 

  • 4 Tbsp coconut flour
  • 3 Tbsp ground psyllium husk
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 4 free range whites
  • Just under 1/2 cup boiled water

Method:

  1. Pre heat your oven to 1600C and grease a baking tray with coconut oil.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients well in a large bowl.
  3. Add the egg whites and apple cider vinegar and mix into a thick dough.
  4. Add the hot water and continue to mix until the water is soaked up by the coconut flour and the dough is easy to handle.
  5. Roll out into a pizza base and bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven, add the pizza toppings of your choice and cook for a further 10 minutes.
